Patron of Scandinavian Whisky Society!
For the first time since the start we open
up the exclusive PATRON membership. The present 200 patrons initiated the society
in 2003/04 to provide the financial base which enables the SWS to trade whisky casks.
In ten years we have done 20 precious bottlings.
As a patron you are invited to the evaluation panel that makes decisions on what
to bottle. Being the spine of SWS, patrons make it possible to operate the society
by providing necessary funds to keep the whisky flowing. Patrons are also lifetime
members (with no annual fees).
To become PATRON of the SWS you lend the society £320. The money is transferred
to Bank of Scotland where our trustee John McDougall invests in whisky. The loan
can only be exchanged against the value in whisky — what you put in you take out
in golden liquid form. And only you decide when to purchase a whisky.
